RVA Learning Center Credits

To support the development of campus “learning centers” within our RVA consortium, the following credits will be applied to the end of year invoice for eligible districts. To be eligible for the credit, an invested or affiliated member district must have an established “learning center” accessible by all full-time RVA students from within the district staffed by at least a .25 FTE instructional support. Additional requirements of the learning center are outlined in the application. The credit for Invested Members will be based off the total number full-time equivalent (FTE) students enrolled in the RVA from the invested member district at the end of the year. The credit for Affiliated Members will be based off the total number of different students enrolled in the RVA from the affiliate member district at the end of the year.

By applying for this credit, we agree to open and maintain a learning center to provide at a minimum the services outlined below:

  • Contact all full-time enrolled RVA students and families, in all grades PreK - 12, and inform them of the local learning center and supports provided

  • At a minimum monthly, maintain on-going and regular contact to in-district RVA families

  • Provide academic tutoring and technical support for all full-time in-district RVA students

  • Provide a supervised learning space for RVA students on academic probation

  • Be willing to accept on-going training on RVA LMS, SIS, and other systems

  • Assist with in-district blended learning students, their digital enrollments, academic support, and technical trouble-shooting
